Oh ! what a dissapointment !

I am back from my horrible horrible horrrrrrible trip to Nainital...which was meant to be for 5 days but got over in just 2 !

So here's how the much-awaited vacation turned into a Ram Gopal Verma horror movie. First our train tickets didn't get confirmed till the last minute, we were on waiting list '1 and 2' !! can u believe it ?!!

Next, we decided to drive to the hills thinking that would also be loads of fun.. but the 8 hour drive in the peak summer wasn't a good idea. We were roasted.
I didn't eat anything on the way and puked out everything mom tried to put in my mouth. God, was I giddy.

The place we were staying at was some 3 miles above mall road and at that height with the change of temperature i developed a blocked nose, so i had trouble sleeping.

Nainital itself was a huge disappointment too. It was hot and overcrowded- it was like all of delhi had come down to nainital.

Although i enjoyed the boat ride, and running around on mall road was fun too... but there really wasnt much to do...so we decided to cut our trip short.

Lesson learnt: Plan a trip to the hills in the off season.

Any travel tips ?

Hey fella bloggers,

im off to the hills :-)
actually only planning as of now.. my darling mom n dad are talking of taking me to Nainital next weekend..

its an overnite journey by train till Kathgodam and then a 30 km drive till Nainital.
Seems like it would be loads of fun..

Since its my first trip anywhere in India outside Delhi (except for the month long vacation to my grandparents in the Gulf last year when i was a baby); was wondering if you guys have any experiences or handy travel tips you could share ?
They would surely be useful for us too as mom's kinda hyper about travelling with me !! she is a scaredy-cat.

we went to India Gate today, where there's a separate really ultra cool Children's Park with swings, fountains, aquariums, book shop, ice-cream vendors and ofcourse lots of space to run around. I had such a ball, running around and sliding (which i did on my own and surprised mom n dad)..

ooh boy ooh boy, it was so much fun !!!

Summer-licious !!!!!!!!!

ITs so hot.. its not funny.. Delhi is burning guys...

Ant YET each day i moan and moan and moan some more, till mommy takes me out to the park to run around and sweat :-)
Mommy gets really exhausted running around with me & soon we get really thirsty n hot.. so what do we do ?? then we eat ice-lollies ! Yum !!

Ive made lots of friends in the park.. and sorry if it seems like im bragging, ahem, but im such a favourite with girls !! They go - oh baby, oh sweety, Emuuuuuu, .. etc etc.. And i don't mind that at all... Girls will always be girls u know ! Here u see me surrounded by girls of all ages... I also have male friends u see, and i love to play with their cycles or run away with their foot-balls, he he ! They find that so cute... well, the joys of being a baby, um, toddler !

Thank you Allah

Yesterday on the way back from the market, mommy saw a small boy just a few months older than me probably, asleep on the roadside. Although its a common sight in India, but this one touched her heart so much she couldn't resist taking a pic.

The boys parents were working on a construction site while he tried to take a nap in the scorching heat, lying on top of an empty cement sack holding on to his chappals. Mom says he looked so cute n adorable that she had more than half a mind to get him home... but then... she didn't. How many times we come across such circumstances where we are torn between reality and practicality. And how trying those times are.

She wants to use this pic here, just to remind us all how grateful we all should be for all that we have & must thank Allah. I pray that others too are equally blessed.
Because........

No matter what looms ahead, if you can eat today, enjoy today, mix good cheer with friends today; thank God for it - Anonymous.

Summer time blues!

Its like a hundred degrees in the sun these days.
Seriously, the other day mom left an egg outside and it cooked on its own...no jokes!
So I have devised a way to beat the heat...

but thats not all people... i got a brand new pool too!
its soooooo coooool!
its got these inflated thingys attached which i love to pull at and bite into and burst...but more than anything i love splashing around in it..

so take my advice friends...splash some water and dip yourself in a pool and beat the heat
